Cyber criminals may then misuse this information to transfer money from bank accounts or even take loans in the victim’s name. In one such video, officers explained how a simple mistake driven by curiosity or emotion can result in heavy financial losses. Authorities are urging citizens, especially young social media users, to avoid clicking on unknown or suspicious links shared online.
