CM Sai Highlights Success of PM JANMAN and Tribal Welfare Schemes

*‘12 Years of Shri Modi Government a golden era for Tribal uplift and Naxal-free progress’: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai* *Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attends meeting at Bharat Mandapam* New Delhi, June 10, 2026/ Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended a meeting held at Bharat Mandapam on the completion of 12 years of the Central Government led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. On the occasion, he congratulated Prime Minister Shri Modi and said that the past 12 years have proven to be a golden era for the respect, empowerment, and development of India’s tribal communities. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Chhattisgarh has made significant progress in tackling decades-old Naxalism. He said tribal communities affected by Naxal violence are now witnessing a new era of peace, security and development. Initiatives such as “Niyad Nella Nar” and “Bastar Munne” are ensuring saturation rollout of government schemes in Bastar, while security camps are being converted into “Seva Deras” to strengthen last-mile governance and public service delivery. He further said that Prime Minister Shri Modi has given India’s tribal society a new identity and respect. Initiatives such as celebrating Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas and the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan have accelerated development in tribal regions. He added that the leadership of Smt. Droupadi Murmu, India’s first tribal woman President, is a symbol of pride and honour for millions of tribal citizens. Shri Sai said that under the PM JANMAN Yojana, basic amenities such as electricity, roads, drinking water, and housing are reaching remote habitations of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups for the first time. He also noted that the expansion of roads, railways, and public transport in Bastar is addressing long-standing connectivity challenges. The Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to preserving and promoting Tribal culture. He highlighted the establishment of a Tribal Museum in Nava Raipur and the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Tribal Museum. Events such as Bastar Pandum and Bastar Olympics have showcased a transformed, peaceful, and vibrant Bastar to the world. He added that effective implementation of the PESA Act, record procurement of minor forest produce, better prices for paddy, pulses, and oilseeds, and schemes like the Krishak Unnati Yojana are strengthening the rural and tribal economy. Through the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana and the Mukhyamantri Khadya Yojana, free food grains are being provided to around 2.45 crore beneficiaries in the state. Concluding his address, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has transformed tribal communities from beneficiaries into active partners in India’s development. He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to building a developed Chhattisgarh and contributing to a developed India under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi.
