CBSE 12th Re-evaluation Leads to Incredible Result, Student Gets Perfect 500 Marks

Jharkhand student Avni Kejriwal has achieved an extraordinary feat in the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2026 after the re-evaluation process. A resident of Ranchi, Avni secured a perfect score of 500 out of 500 marks, earning a 100 percentile after her answer sheets were reviewed. In the initial results, Avni received fewer marks than she had expected. She was particularly surprised by the marks awarded in English, her strongest and favorite subject, where she was short by 19 marks. She also noticed that her Business Studies score was five marks lower than expected. Convinced that something was wrong, she applied for verification and re-evaluation of her answer sheets. The decision proved to be worthwhile. Following the re-checking process, her total score increased by 24 marks. While she had already secured full marks in three subjects, the revised results gave her 100 marks in the remaining subjects as well, taking her overall score to a flawless 500 out of 500. Avni, who studies at DPS Cell Township in Dhurwa, credited her achievement to the constant support of her parents, teachers, and mentor Sachit Sir. Her father, Mitesh Kejriwal, is a businessman, and her mother, Poonam Kejriwal, is a homemaker. According to her family, she has always been sincere and disciplined in her studies. Aspiring to build a career in business management, Avni has already appeared for CUET UG 2026 and is looking forward to securing admission to a reputed institute. Meanwhile, CBSE stated that several students saw an increase in their marks after re-evaluation. The board had introduced an on-screen marking system this year, and many students raised concerns about discrepancies after the results were announced.
