Chhattisgarh Strengthens Green Movement Through ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ Initiative

Raipur, June 30,2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai planted a Rudraksha sapling under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 3.0’ campaign during his visit to Ram Vatika at the Forest Rest House in Ramgarh, Udaipur block of Surguja district. He also offered prayers at the statue of Lord Shri Ram and wished for the prosperity and well-being of the people of Chhattisgarh. Describing the campaign Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 3.0 as a symbol of reverence for women empowerment and nurturing mother nature as a part of it, Shri Sai urged people to plant more trees and ensure their protection to help address climate change and build a greener future. He said a tree planted in a mother's name is not only a meaningful step towards environmental conservation but also an investment in future generations. Paying tribute to Lord Shri Ram, the Chief Minister said his life continues to inspire humanity through the ideals of truth, duty, sacrifice and righteousness. He urged people to follow these values and contribute to society and nation-building with a spirit of service and harmony. On the occasion, Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal, Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam, Lundra MLA Shri Prabodh Minj, Sitapur MLA Shri Ramkumar Toppo, along with other public representatives and senior officials, were present.
