The initiative aims to improve services at sub-registrar offices and make property registration easier, faster, and free from unnecessary complications for the public. According to government plans, the existing system will be upgraded with the help of advanced technology and improved infrastructure. Under the proposed reforms, sub-registrar offices may be redesigned on the lines of Passport Seva Kendras. These offices are expected to include air-conditioned waiting halls, digital help desks, token systems, live application tracking, clean washrooms, and drinking water facilities. The aim is to create a comfortable and organized environment for visitors while reducing overcrowding and confusion. The government is also considering the use of modern digital technologies to strengthen transparency and security in property registration. Features such as online appointment booking, digital document verification, and real-time application status updates are likely to be introduced. In addition, advanced technologies like AI-based face verification, blockchain-backed security systems, and digital record management may be implemented to prevent fraud, secure property documents, and reduce disputes related to ownership.
